Freshly ground spices are much more aromatic than pre-ground products you can purchase from stores. My spice mixes need to be used in much smaller quantities to achieve that perfect taste. Try them to feel the difference yourself!

Cumin is an Asian plant of the family Apiaceae whose dried fruit as a spice is used.In Europe, cumin was cultivated mainly for medicinal purposes until the Middle Ages.


Today's main growing areas are India, Iran, Indonesia, China and the southern Mediterranean .
It has its special healing effect in the digestive tract. So it is antispasmodic, works for flatulence and colic. In addition, it has an antibacterial and anti fungal effect.



The Indian bay leaf (Cinnamomum tamala), also called mother-of-pearl, is a plant of the laurel family (Lauraceae). The leaves are used as a spice. In case of respiratory problems or bacterial skin inflammation, laurel oil may be used. It is a well-tolerated medicinal plant that has wound healing, diuretic, antifungal, digestive and anticonvulsant.​



Cardamom is a herbaceous plant that can relieve various conditions. It grows mainly in India and Sri Lanka. Cardamom has a millennia-old tradition in the Eastern world, and around 1200 years ago, Europeans also came to know and appreciate it. It is an all-rounder among natural remedies and a delicious, exotic spice. Cardamom has an antispasmodic and mood-enhancing effect. In Ayurvedic medicine cardamom is referred to as a warming agent that stimulates blood circulation.

Coriander also known as cilantro or Chinese parsley, is an annual herb in the family Apiaceae. All parts of the plant are edible, but the fresh leaves and the dried seeds are the parts most traditionally used in cooking.
Coriander is known all over the world for its medicinal properties. It is a great source of potassium, iron, vitamins A, K, and C, folic acid, magnesium, and calcium that can heal many health issues.​



Fenugreek (Trigonella foenum-graecum) is an annual plant of the Fabaceae family, whose leaves are composed of three small, ovate to oblong leaflets. It is grown worldwide as a semi-arid culture. Its seeds and its leaves are common ingredients in dishes from South Asia.


One of fenugreek’s basic herbal uses include relieving digestive problems and menopausal symptoms. Fenugreek is also used as a remedy applied to the skin to treat infections and inflammation. Studies show it not only has the ability to lower blood sugar levels but fight cancer.



Mustard is a spicy spice made from the seeds of white, brown and black mustard . Usual are both pure mustard seeds (whole seeds), mustard powder (ground seeds) and especially from the more or less finely ground seeds and other ingredients prepared spice paste.


Mustard seeds are an excellent source of selenium and a very good source of omega-3 fatty acids and manganese. They are also a good source of phosphorus, magnesium, copper and vitamin B1.



Turmeric (Curcuma longa) is a rhizomatous herbaceous perennial plant of the ginger family, Zingiberaceae.Turmeric has been used in Asia for thousands of years and is a major part of Ayurveda, Siddha medicine, Unani, and traditional Chinese medicine. It was first used as a dye, and then later for its medicinal properties.
